I cherish the start of a new year. It feels like a new book waiting for its spine to be cracked open, or a blank notebook with its pages calling to be scrawled on. At the start of a new year, I like to revel in the feelings of nostalgia as I look back in time and call up special memories of past adventures.
In looking back on 2015, I took quite a significant change of course; actually it was pretty much a 180 degree turn! I quit my day job as a full-time health care practitioner with aspirations to travel and go back to school for my PhD. I set off on a 3 month spiritual, soul-searching adventure in India and moved across the country where I found myself navigating the ‘student life’ once again. These days I try to find balance between life as a PhD student, maintaining my relationships on the home front, and tending to my insatiable desire for travel.
This blog has been a goal of mine for a long time and when 2016 rolled around, I knew it was time to make it happen! So here I am, exploring this new and unfamiliar online world of blogging. As you can see, my site is quite basic and at this point entirely self-made so I welcome any suggestions or feedback you may have! Feel free to reach out; I would love to hear from you!
